Studies have shown that many of the western diets are quite poor in fatty acids, long chain omega-3 (EPA and DHA), for which reason it may be beneficial to introduce a supplement in the feed. Nutritionists recommend consuming 2-3 doses of fish per week to reach the recommended dose of omega 3.
